Answer:

Booster doses are highly recommended to give you maximum protection against COVID-19.

You are eligible for a COVID-19 booster if:

• you are 18 years and older, and

• had your second dose of your primary COVID-19 vaccination at least 4 months ago.

It is not yet known how long the COVID-19 vaccine protection will last. Clinical trials are currently happening to find out if we will need booster doses on an annual or longer basis.
